Assistant Chemistry Professor at the University of Utah || Formally in the Sumerlin Group and Moore Group || "Professionally" Playing with Polymers @LessardLab
Research paper #2 from our group just dropped as Open Access in Adv Materials. In this paper, we probe pendant length in frontal polymerization and the resulting material properties. @KA_Stew absolutely crushed this one, check it out! @JacobJLessard1advanced.onlinelibrary.wiley…
A little teaser (preprint) of next things to come from postdoc work at Utah in @LessardLab. Wish us safe travels as we navigate peer review.

Happy to share the first published work from my PhD!
When I started 3D printing thermosets in my first year, I was immediately frustrated with the process. Resins took ages to prepare AND didn't last long.
@JacobJLessard1 and I cooked up this technique to solve the first problem - we didn't expect it to solve both!

Our group is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral researcher position in the field of neat polymerization for fiber-reinforced composite applications. Experience with polymer chemistry, resin formulation, and composite manufacturing is required. Please RT.
Check out our recent publication titled: "Reactive extrusion of frontally polymerizing continuous carbon fiber reinforced polymer composites" in Composites Part A, published under a special issue titled: Additive Manufacturing of #Composites. #3Dprintingwww-sciencedirect-com.ornl.i…
Our undergrad Rodrigo wondered if we could replace the bespoke chiral acid used in our recent asymmetric photochemistry with commercial (S)-TRIP. His protocol for enantioselective truxinate synthesis on 2-gram scale just dropped on @OrgSynth: orgsyn.org/demo.aspx?prep=v1…
We have a new paper out in AnalyticalChemistry (@an_chem)! Detection of Inverse Stable Isotopic Labeling in Untargeted Metabolomic Data. doi.org/10.1021/acs.analchem…
Congrats @TashiLieb and Ethan Murdock.
