Go to more shows. Support small bands. They will literally play music for you for 2 hours straight for $10 what a value. Get to know your scene. Get to know a touring band who is hundred of miles from home. Let them sleep on your couch. Buy their shit

Bodies in rooms literally means so much for a band playing a city for the first time. If you’re lonely or bored just google a small venue you’ve been to and start listening to the bands they have booked. You’ll probably like some of their music and now you have plans.
