NEWS: When asked by Klinger which Sonic game he'd remake if he could, Iizuka responded by saying that he'd want to be able to play every single Sonic game on modern platforms, and that if anything was possible and he "could magically do it," he'd want every single Sonic game available. #SonicNews
But the effort it would take to not just port, but remake an old Sonic game is the same it'd take for a brand new title, and he'd prefer to do new experiences. This is in line with his previous answers regarding a Sonic Adventure remake.
