Freedom is fragile, there should be no place for hate. We should learn from the past. We should remember the sacrifices and not take our life for granted. #veday80thanniversary Thanks to those who served and serve today. Lest we forget! 🙏

We will remember them (3). What a lovely remembrance event on Sunday afternoon hosted by the Friends of Old Southampton Cemetery celebrating their 21st anniversary. I was very touched by kind words said here about my mother Veronica Tippetts (V) who helped establish this group.

Reported Flytipping across the patch today. Why people think it’s ok to put it out on the pavement and leave it for others to clear up. #bevois

Thank you Southampton Royal British Legion for letting me join your volunteers and cadets selling poppies in WestQuay at the weekend. It was a privilege to meet with armed forces family members, veterans and reservists to find out how I can give them my full support 🪖🏡.

I got a last minute call on Tuesday to attend the launch at the Dim Sum restaurant in Above Bar of the UK TeoChew (one of many Chinese linguistic groups) Cultural and Commercial Association. I was very pleased to do this and take part in a fantastic lunch!

A busy Saturday was pleasantly punctuated by an unveiling at Freemantle Baptist Church of a wonderful new mosaic mural - a joint effort between congregation members and local artist, Will Rosie. Thanks to minister, Linda Hayes, for organising a lovely ceremony.

We all know that local pharmacies are key to getting primary care right! It was great to recently visit Bassil Pharmacy in their new and improved home… offering a variety of health services and prescriptions, without having to wait weeks for a doctors appointment. #Southampton
