The U.S.A.: A nation of decent people run by unabashed racists and self serving crooks. America has become a perfect storm of immorality. Good luck to everyone suffering through this era of self-aggrandising greed from your captains of industry and weak-willed elected officials.

So… winning the exact same number of games (combining the regular season and playoffs) and needing extra innings in the 7th game of the World Series… what does Bet MGM this morning have as the odds these two fine teams could win the World Series in 2026? 🤷🤷‍♀️🤷🏼‍♂️

Strange days indeed when I am retweeting a post from a man I was unhappy with but oh so wish he was still the Premier of Alberta instead of the Wicked Witch my province has now.
Memo to all the tough-talking Western / Alberta separatist keyboard warriors: In 2021 you had a real life Western separatist party running against *Justin Trudeau,* and all you could muster was 29 candidates from the absurdly named Maverick (formerly Wexit) Party, who collectively won 35,000 votes. 🤣 35,000 votes! That’s 0.21% of votes cast. You won fewer votes across the West than a typical MP wins in a single riding. And what happened to your party? Like the countless western separatist parties before it, it folded like a cheap suit. With apologies to Monty Python, it’s now a dead party. It is no more. It has ceased to be. It’s bereft of life. It rests in peace. It’s is an ex-party.

Donald Trump has committed the most profound, harmful and unnecessary economic error in the modern era. Almost everything he said—on history, economics and the technicalities of trade—was utterly deluded econ.st/4j8e0DG

I will never wish anyone dead. But I am young enough to say with confidence that I will outlive the stupidest arrogant bully to ever be a nation's leader. When he is buried I will make a special trip to his grave to tramp the dirt down & empty a jar of burrowing maggots on it.

Okay, time for another, "Occasional Comment" - I'm no fan of Mike Johnson, but at least he was trying to keep the country running. But the two Merchants of Pettiness & Greed - Donald Trump and Elon Musk truly don't give a shit about anything except themselves. It WILL end badly.

Here's my first, "Occasional Comment": Scott Jennings is a complete asshole. Instead of turning off CNN every time he opens his smug mouth I'll just stop watching @CNN until that douchebag is no longer collecting a paycheque from the network. CNN: Do better.

This is my last post. Twitter was great until the world's richest psychopath purchased it and turned it into a sewer. Not fun any more between the bizarre ads and racist & sexist attacks from too many who would have been banned but now can be assholes like it's owner. Good luck.

A tasteful and classy #RemembranceDay 🇨🇦 display at the CORE shopping centre in downtown Calgary. November 11 is a day to reflect on those who fought for us to have the freedom and democracy we have in Canada today. Have a good weekend everyone. 😊

25yo Denis Shapovalov gets his 2nd career title in Belgrade, first since 2019, after beating Hamad Medjedovic 6-4, 6-4 in the final. Nice to see him finish the season so well and close to the top 50. Still got the Davis Cup Finals...

Denis Shapovalov plays incredible tennis in Belgrade to steamroll Jiri Lehecka 6-2, 6-1 in 53 minutes 👀 After the match: “I didn’t know I had so many Serbian fans, I think it’s because I lose to Novak every time” 😂

Bill is exactly right. There are plenty of micro-explanations and micro-excuses for what happened in the presidential election of 2024. And on the margins, any number of them—indeed, almost certainly, a combination of them—made the difference. But their impact was only on the margins. Don’t get me wrong—small margins and the factors that move them do matter, a lot, in elections—particularly in America in the 21st century. They deserve careful analysis, but only to a point. For the bottom line is that these considerations are not what we must focus on first and foremost today. What deserves the lion’s share of our attention are the facts that a major political party could have even considered nominating Trump despite his manifest criminality, moral depravity, psychological derangement, and cognitive deficiencies and deterioration—and that nearly half the country would have voted for him no matter what he did or said and no matter whom he had run against. That was the ultimate problem in this election, and remains so. We suffer from a deep sickness in our national polity. Far above all else, before it’s too late, thoughtful Americans of good faith must work together to confront, to better comprehend, and to ultimately address that grave and metastasizing ailment if our great experiment in self-governance is to survive. Scapegoating and blame-assigning about anything else serves no end but to diminish our chances of overcoming our profound national moral crisis.
Lots of reasons for the vote: Incumbents are unpopular! Biden had a low approval rating! Harris did this or didn't do that! Etc., etc. I don't quarrel with the analyses. But to understand is not to excuse. No excuse for the American people voting to make Trump president again.

I've often said Denis Shapovalov🇨🇦 is too good a player to have only won a single tournament. That will change tomorrow if he plays the way he's played this week. For the 3rd match in a row he's dominated with his serve. Today he only lost 1 1st serve and 5 2nd serves (4DFs!). 👏🏼

Today in Belgrade Denis Shapovalov🇨🇦 put on an offensive masterclass that we've not seen from him for awhile, defeating the no 5 seed Nuno Borges 🇵🇹6-2, 6-4. In 9 service games Shapo lost a TOTAL of 9 points on his serve, and 4 of those were double faults! Shapo is back folks. 👍🏻
