Eight years ago, @JakePolledri made Italy debut v Scotland. Always a ferocious Roman warrior on the field, he's had to show every ounce of those same qualities to deal with all that's happened since, including death of his younger brother. @TimesSport exc: thetimes.com/sport/rugby-uni…
Exclusive interview with Jake Polledri.
Accepting retirement at 28, installing more defibrillators around the country following the death of his brother, and what’s next with @JP_Cider and coaching at @cinderfordrfc. Remarkable guy. telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/…
Italy forward Jake Polledri has called time on his career due to injury. All the best in your retirement, Jake 🤝
A look back at some of his best moments from #RWC2019 ❤️
@Federugby | @JakePolledri
5.8 - During his time with @gloucesterrugby in @premrugby (2017-2020, excluding 1 game in 2022) Jake Polledri averaged 5.8 defenders beaten per 80 mins, the best rate of anyone to play 300 mins. Cherry.
27 - Jake Polledri beat 27 defenders in just 196 minutes during the 2019 @rugbyworldcup, among forwards, only Ardie Savea (27 in 463 mins in 2023) has beaten as many in a single men’s Rugby World Cup. Indomitable.
Following @JakePolledri announcing his retirement from rugby today, let’s look back at some of his best moments in Cherry & White. 🍒
Wishing you and your family all the best, Jake. You’ll always be welcome at Kingsholm. 👊

Friday 29 July we're joining the Sam Polledri Foundation to host a CPR event at @wethecurious_
The event will coincide with the launch of a public access defibrillator opened in honour of 24 year old Sam who suffered a fatal cardiac arrest nearby earlier this year.
We are shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden and tragic passing of Sam Polledri, who was just 24 years-old. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
Rest In Peace, Sam.
Interview for @MailSport with @gloucesterrugby and Italy back-row force of nature, Jake Polledri, who is not finished, as some non-experts have said. He’s coming back from his injury ordeal, maybe before the end of this season. dailymail.co.uk/sport/rugbyu…

"Not being part of things was brutal. Being a rugby player is really about being part of the squad. It’s everything." 😔

"Things are happening in and around the squad and I’m out of the loop… It’s like being outside of a shop looking through the window. You can see things going on but you’re not part of it. It’s brutal." 😞
