🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Plenty of overreaction to the England World Cup Squad announcement for me... 🔟 Palmer/Foden have both shown themselves to be ineffective on the wings before, and with Rogers/Bellingham preferred at 10, there is no room for them. This directly effects Gibbs-White too, as he has clearly had a great season, but he realistically would not be getting any game time. 🔒 At the back Guehi and Konsa are locks, so not sure it really matters who their backups are - and Stones is still quality when he is fit. 9️⃣ Watkins is the backup to Kane, so Toney is surely just there for penalties if required. 🤷‍♂️ Jordan Henderson has been in all of Tuchel's squads, so it is hardly a surprise to see him there for experience again. Conversely Trent has not been favoured at all, so again no real surprise. I personally feel Lewis Hall is the hardest done by, as I would have liked him as the backup LB - but in O'Reilly we trust 🫡 ❓ Overall, there isn't anyone who wasn't picked who could trouble our best XI below, is there? We have wanted our manager to pick a squad rather than just the 'star names' for ages. Tuchel has done that.
