Like even though she hated him, seeing him being used like that awakened the change in her, and that ghost of Chamber was the reminder of the constant casualties , even though she hates him? Could just be late night brain being late night brain but i could see that being real

Or, something else i just thought of was Chamber being a visual representation of the burden she thinks she carries of making VL good again, and because she hates this burden, hates needing to carry the burden, it visualizes as Chamber
