🇨🇦 Politics aside, this is a good decision by Ontario government to give elementary school teachers money for supplies. School supplies are expensive and almost all teachers I know have had to use their own money to buy supplies. thestar.com/politics/provinc… #ontED

Did you know that over 1.5 million Africans fought abroad for Britain in World War II? I bet you didn't. When celebrating WWII heroes, Unknown Soldiers, and those who sacrificed for our freedoms, Africans are not mentioned. Genocide enablers think the strategy can work in 2026.

Dr. Micere Mugo! What a well researched and and nicely written paper of the Kenyan scholar, poet, and playwright. Many Kenyans are familiar with the late Mugo. However, many will learn something new about her from this seminal piece.
Just published in Research in African Literatures: "Micere Mugo and the Burdens of History: Notes Toward a Literary Biography", by yours truly. The essay is about the family history of the late Micere, seen in relation to her writing. Read it here: muse.jhu.edu/pub/3/article/9…

Reminder: we are suspending immigration documents for residents of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and South Sudan for 90 days. During this time, we also plan to pause decisions on applications from these countries. This is vital to respond to the Ebola outbreak and prevent the disease from spreading to Canada: bit.ly/3PCHdOd
