I just wonder whether Popovic wasn’t happy with the podcast IV Maty Ryan gave few days ago?
Don’t really expect a national team captain to say those sorts of things in the lead up to a World Cup opener.
(OR Maty already knew he wasn’t in)

That said, he clearly rates Beach and it wouldn’t surprise me if Ryan comes back in for the next game anyway but it’s still a monster call when he seemingly isn’t carrying a knock.
Coaching staff see things that we all don’t tho so perhaps he’s been a level above in training 🤷♂️

I was there at Old Trafford in ‘02. My formative years as a football fan came at Highbury in 03/04. I cried my eyes out after Paris.
