The industry plant discourse in regards to mainstream country is always silly. The only reason anyone is on any of those award shows or country radio is because a bunch of suits in a board room decided they could make money off of them. Genre labels are a marketing term.

The rhythm of this job is weird. A busy month this month means a more stable month next month. But being busy with gigs impacts my energy levels to do the booking etc which usually leads to less gigs next couple months. Throw a cancellation in and the whole balance is fucked.
