I’m glad the U.S. coach was able to dress up for the occasion.

Honestly I'm just amazed that Rutgers didn't think of this during the 2019 coaching search.

"Let's put five guys at a conference table and release a 22-minute video. That'll definitely calm the waters."

He's just a really big fan.
Steve Tisch now on the field talking to John Harbaugh as players walk-through drills. John Mara, who has been at every minicamp practice, just joined the group.

Congratulations to Hammond, Indiana. Now you too can complain about everyone pretending the game is in the much bigger town a few minutes away.

If you believe enough, you too can return to a team after you undermined two head coaches and crapped on the most beloved player in franchise history with Lil Wayne sitting next to you.
"The way that I had to walk away, it was unsettling in my soul. I have to do this. This is for myself, this is for my son. I want him to be able to see who I am, not who I was, and know that we never give up in our house. You go after what you believe in." - Odell Beckham Jr.

So why doesn't Congress fund them?
Sen. Ted Cruz on the threat of defunding/elimination of Olympic sports at universities: "I don’t want to see an Olympic (Games) where every gold medal goes to Russia and China."

All of these universities have the money to fund Olympic sports. They just do not want to do it after a century of making the football team foot the bill. So Washington either has to write the checks or shame the schools into doing it.

This is not really the point, but I still do not understand how the report in question was anything other than very accurate.

No. 3? No. 13? Or maybe the Giants will try to unretire Frank Gifford's No. 16 for him?

The organization leaked the meeting because they're pissed at Dart, he clearly rolled a stinkbomb in their locker room and now they're trying to sweep it away.
Evan and Tiki wonder who in the Giants room leaked the story of Jaxson Dart addressing his teammates: @EvanRobertsWFAN

My periodic statements of faith: Army and Rutgers should play an annual home-and-home series and Gameday would have come had Rutgers scheduled Army for the 150th anniversary weekend.
This bill is obviously never going to pass. But if it did, there would be a federal law (!) mandating that Rutgers play Army again. What a world.

This part of the Protect College Sports Act, from @RossDellenger's piece, wouldn't apply to Texas, A&M, OU, USC, UCLA, Oregon or Washington, but *would* apply to Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Cal, Stanford, Rutgers and SMU.

Does Tony P know they already play for a majestic bronze pig?
A talkative Tony Petitti finally stumped for a 24 team Playoff. The case he made was understandable, but landed flat. “I don’t get why we can’t have a Minnesota-Iowa game have real impact every so often, like every year actually. Why can’t we do that?” si.com/college-football/big-…

I feel like this has to violate antitrust law. And if it doesn't, Congress should get involved. You're screwing the Group of Six champions on the front and back ends.
Interesting news from @ScottDochterman on the potential next iteration of Bowl Season. 20 teams (5 each) from the P4 conferences paired off into the 10 best non-CFP bowls. nytimes.com/athletic/7280493…

The regular season was already destroyed over a decade ago by your employer, Paul.
"Twenty-four is the worst possibility I think in the history of this game. ... It is going to devalue, dilute and perhaps destroy the greatest football season of them all." @finebaum believes that the CFP expanding will harm the value of the regular season 👀

You want to protect the value of the regular season? Give every conference an automatic bid.

This is 1000% correct. College football was the quintessential American sport, as special and unique as the FA pyramid in England. And it has been ruined by TV suits, greedy chancellors/presidents and the spineless commissioners that do their bidding.
Again this is the ridiculous notion that the only thing that matters is a national championship. This is a very recent distortion. In the history of college football very few teams were playing for a national championship.
