The first time I realised I was burning out I told everyone and myself I felt “fine.” Fine is feckedup, insecure, neurotic and emotional. The good news is it need not last. Focus on the beauty that surrounds you.

Reframe: Strength isn’t holding everything in. Strength is knowing when to exhale. Taking a few minutes to capture a picture of calm is a great way to breathe out pressure without anyone noticing.

Stress doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like “I’m fine.” It’s good to focus on fine but remember to do the maintenance and dump the trash. Set the camera to manual and go play. Stay awesome. Www.photographyformindfulnes…

The next time your thoughts spiral: Name 5 things you can see. Your mind can only focus on one frame at a time. Your phone camera can be both a journal and a tool for regaining your balance. Stay awesome.
