Don't mean to be critical, but why hate them? Maybe, think of this differently? The crowd and movement you are seeing here are in the process of explaining many difficult things. My advice: thank them instead.
They are in the process of visually explaining why despite decades of work by Israelis and Americans, there is still no state for Palestinian Arabs, and they are doing it better than anyone else can. They are explaining why Israel was forced to go into Gaza. They are explaining their reasoning, upon which my fellow Americans are still being held hostage. They are explaining why even so many Americans who deplore Netanyahu and Settler policy, still support Israel's defense of its people and sovereignty.
They are here explaining the level of intellectual rigor behind 'Palestinian Genocide in Gaza!' to people who do not follow the middle east closely. They are explaining what "From the River to the Sea!" actually means. Visually. They are explaining what they will do if given power. They are explaining the unusual uses Hamas has found for Hospitals, Schools, Apartment Buildings, Ambulances, Refugee Camps, etc. They are explaining why Hamas (while complaining of 'genocide') actually rockets a sovereign state to provoke attacks from a nation whose citizens they hold as hostages. The protestors are showing us how Hamas deliberately antagonized and *FORCED* Israel into military response, through a declaration of war through by jihadis committing gleeful attrocities against civilians, the elderly, guest workers, children and mothers. They are explaining why Black Lives Matter is dangerous to us all despite black lives mattering to almost everyone.
They are explaining that they love Yemen and the Houthis and hate their own country and themselves. They are explaining what they will do to "Queers for Palestine" once they are done using them, and get the chance to explore the admonitions of strict religious law.
They are explaining why reasonable and civil muslims the world over have been warning the west about the dangers of Jihad and Salafists/Wahabists for decades. They are explaining why they don't blink when you say 'Rape is not an act of Resistance' and why they celebrate the acts of unimaginable savagery used to drag Israel into war. They are explaining what the "world wide revolt of the oppressed" is actually about. They are explaining the intellectual basis and stature of an otherwise misleading academic theory called 'Decolonization'.
They are showing you our future if we couple Gun Control to something called 'Defund the Police'. This certainly is changing my position on Gun Control. What would they do to you if they were armed and you were not with no police to call? They are telling you the meaning of 'No Justice, No Peace' as a threat rather than a slogan. That is priceless, in and of itself.
More than anything, they are explaining that they are not liberals, or center left or even progressives. You are looking straight into the eyes and hearts of revolutionaries. These are the violent revolutionaries who have been normalized by one party. My party, I am embarassed to say. These people are what now leap out of the Wooden Horse, misleadingly labeled 'Progressivism', when you take it inside your gated walls, and they are explaining what this group sees as progress. They are telling you what the phrase "A world to win!" means to them. Learn from them.
So take a good look. If you deplore the idea of violent revolutionaries destabilizing your world and everything you love about it, don't look away. Let them finish their explanation. Get their representatives and spokespeople who are not afraid to *fully* explain the true agenda as much air time as they want.
Join me. The abyss is hard to understand: welcome the explanation and celebrate their free speech.
One man's opinion anyway. Hope it helps.
I don't mean to be dramatic, but I genuinely hate these people.
