The South Western Hotel and the rear of Terminus Station are on the left. This pub dates back to the 1850s and closed down in 1933. The building is still standing and was being used as a restaurant.

First tried our luck in there in 1991, aged 17. It had just reopened after being refurbished. It was a good pub for a couple of years but I started using the Barleycorn by the time I was 21 and found my people.

Great pub, especially back in the 90's. I spent so much time in there. Played for the football team, joined the golf society, played cricket married a barmaid. (no longer). Always someone organising trips away, home & abroad from there. Lock ins aplenty. Great days
