❗️TWEETING FOR AWARENESS ❗️
On August 2nd I was in a car crash in Dallas Texas. This resulted in me going to the hospital to get scans and checked for anything wrong resulting from the crash. The radiologist unfortunately found a softball sized tumor in my retroperitonal abdominal cavity. For about the months after the crash I had no idea if it was a cancerous tumor or not with multiple tests and biopsy’s providing non diagnostic data . Finally today I was told it was not cancer but still a growing mass.
Apparently this has been growing inside me for 5-10 years now and I had no idea. Please if you can, go get checked by getting an MRI or cat scan when you have your yearly physical. The US is too lenient on what constitutes a “check up”, especially compared to other countries. You never know when something is going on in your body and please take it more seriously. It was a miracle that this mass wasn’t cancerous but it’s still going to take a while to determine if I should have surgery or not to take it out since it’s winding around my right kidney.
SO GET CHECKED BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!
