I have just heard that Palestinian parents are writing the names of their children on their bodies so that they can be identified if they are killed. How absolutely shocking and obscene that we are all not calling for an immediate ceasefire.

Can I re-write an ABC news report? Rather than starting with Hamas militants firing rockets during Passover, can we start the report with: 'two nights after Israeli soldiers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque injuring civilians during Ramadan, rockets were launched in retaliation'.

Just received a letter from Vet's Affairs, sending condolences on my Mother's death, offering bereavement counselling, funeral contribution & wanted confirmation of no pension overpayment. Problem: she died over 1 year ago & they have the pension records. Is this or am I crazy?

Easy to trash the protesters yesterday but many are over being geographically targeted by excessive Police action, are now jobless and desperate because of the lack of any financial assistance. Interesting the criticisms of them are often the criticisms made of other protests.

I know there are shocking things happening in this world but seeing my little granddaughter wearing her new undies over her tights (and nappy underneath) with immense pride was priceless. I wish I was as brave and sure of myself!

I completely understand being disappointed at losing a Football Final but the violence and hatred expressed by many English fans before and after the game -completely unacceptable. I worry for the women and children who no doubt will join those already injured.

218 Palestinian people killed including 63 children, 450 buildings destroyed or badly damaged, 2500 people homeless. This is is a disaster of devastating proportions. It must stop and internationally we should be condemning the state of Israel's actions

Not one letter to the editor about the Palestinian massacre today in the SMH and only a small square on the bottom of the front page referencing the bombing of Hamas tunnels. Page 17 half a page.... Is this balanced reporting of an international tragedy?

I am genuinely grateful we now have an opportunity to participate in an International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia. Symbols are important but not enough. Please no more collective inertia, call out and help stop prejudice

My heart continues to break witnessing the absolute horror that Palestinian children are experiencing during the annihilation of their homes. Yet this is not being reported in the general press. Can we stop the spin of human shields and terrorism? Tell the truth

There is no doubt that men are the driving force behind child pornography production and consumption but I am compelled to honour the perceptions of a small group of survivors who believe their mother had some involvement even if forced by their male partner. It is complex.

I think the real problem for Title IX is that any reporting (and responding) is seen by University administrations as affecting reputation and potential student numbers. Strange given responding properly and creating a safe space could do the same but in a positive way.

My 99 year old mother with fast failing health was horrified by the government refusing to allow the Aboriginal flag to be flown in the Senate chamber. She just kept saying but 'they are our original people, they were first'. If she can get it...
