Visited the BLRT shipyard in Turku this week ⚓️. BLRT is a great example of 🇪🇪-🇫🇮 economic cooperation. We already work closely in the maritime sector, but there is still plenty we can achieve together. Also had the opportunity to step aboard an icebreaker!

#NB8 Prime Ministers met @ZelenskyyUa in Tallinn. Our message is clear: we will continue to stand with Ukraine until a just and lasting peace is achieved. Ukraine belongs in the EU. All six accession clusters should be opened without delay. NATO must remain on the table as the strongest security guarantee. Ukraine is not only defending itself. Ukraine is defending Europe. We are grateful to all the people of Estonia, President @AlarKaris, and First Lady Sirje Karis for their constant and unwavering support for Ukraine and our people. Today in Tallinn, important meetings are planned with all the Nordic and Baltic countries. The main goal is to secure more strength to protect our people, as well as to prepare for the negotiations and decisions we all expect from the European Union, G7, and NATO summits. The First Lady’s agenda includes taking part in the expansion of the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies, the opening of a Ukrainian-language audio guide in Estonia, and a meeting with representatives of the Estonian Center for International Development to implement joint projects in support of Ukrainian families. We appreciate the solidarity of Estonia and all our partners who help Ukraine withstand and bring a just peace closer. We thank everyone who supports us.

Today, the MFA joined foreign diplomats at #BalticPrideTallinn, reaffirming our support for the rights, dignity and visibility of the LGBTQI 🏳️‍🌈 community. Estonia’s position is clear: human rights are universal, inviolable, and never up for negotiation. Equal treatment and opportunity must be guaranteed for every person, everywhere, with no exceptions. #DiplomatsForEquality

NATO has decided to assign the @1GENLCorps to the defence of the Baltic states, with primary responsibility for Estonia and Latvia. This is a major step in strengthening @NATO’s eastern flank and a strong signal that Europe is taking greater responsibility for its own security. Estonia thanks Germany and the Netherlands for this important decision.

Despite Russia’s threats, Estonian diplomats are not leaving Kyiv. Threatening diplomats, foreigners, and civilians is unacceptable and a blatant violation of the UN Charter. Russia’s attempts at intimidation only expose its true face. Estonia will not bow to threats. Our embassy remains open, our diplomats stay in Kyiv, and we continue to stand firmly with Ukraine. We also conveyed this message yesterday to the representative of the Russian Embassy in Tallinn.

Today, the #NB8 digital and cyber ambassadors met in Tallinn to advance regional digital and cybersecurity cooperation, and collective resilience. The discussions also focused on continued support for Ukraine’s cyber capabilities. In an era defined by rapid technological change, rising cyber threats, and increasingly malign influence, cross‑border digital and cyber cooperation is indispensable. The NB8 region, united by shared values and respect for international law, is uniquely positioned to lead. With strong public‑private partnerships, we can drive responsible regulation, set high standards, and build secure systems capable of withstanding the challenges of the digital age.

The downing of a drone that entered Estonian airspace proves one thing clearly: @NATO works. Romanian F-16s responded immediately from Šiauliai, demonstrating that Allies stand united and ready to defend every inch of NATO territory. Grateful to Romania and all our NATO partners for their swift action and solidarity. Let’s also be clear: Ukraine has every right to strike Russian military targets to weaken Russia’s ability to wage aggression. These incidents are the direct result of Russia’s war and provocations. Estonia is strengthening cooperation with Ukraine to enhance our air defence and counter-drone capabilities.
