I wrote Finish Empty® to help you live with clarity, purpose, and confidence. It is designed to encourage and challenge you to stop drifting and start making intentional choices that move you forward. It gives you a practical framework to think differently, take action, and stay focused on what truly matters. Every chapter is built to help you reflect honestly and take meaningful steps so you can turn vision into progress and purpose into results. You don’t have to keep wondering “what if.” You can live a life that says, “I’m glad I did.” a.co/d/088IDBZI

What a great morning with the leaders of the Northcentral Arkansas Education Service Cooperative. Every organization benefits when its leaders intentionally grow. Taking time to learn, evaluate, and improve isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity. Thankful for the opportunity to spend a few hours with leaders who are investing in schools, students, and communities across North Central Arkansas. FinishEmpty.com

Monday Morning. Before you fill your calendar, answer an important question: What needs to change this week? Not next month. Not when things slow down. Not after vacation. This week. If you want different results, something has to change. Your habits, your decisions, or perhaps even your direction. Take this morning and evaluate: • What needs to start? • What needs to stop? • What needs more attention? • What needs less? Then invite accountability. Share your goals with someone you trust. Give them permission to ask hard questions. Growth rarely happens in isolation. Don’t just let this week happen to you. Design it. Lead it. Steward it well. Seven days from now, you’ll either have reasons why you didn’t make progress or evidence that you did. Make this week a masterpiece.

Prayer changes us.

Every Christian needs someone who sees their battles, encourages their faith, points them to Jesus, and faithfully prays for them.

Don’t let the weekend steal the progress you made this week. Improvement compounds. Five steps forward and two steps back every week will keep you from becoming who you could be. Stay disciplined. Stay focused. Protect your progress. The little things add up. #FinishEmpty

This week I smiled at the beginning of life, watched children learn about Jesus, celebrated the joining of two lives, and today we will grieve with families while honoring two lives that left a lasting impact on others. Through every season, God is faithful. He is there when life begins. He is there in the laughter of children. He is there when vows are exchanged. He is there when we say goodbye. The same God who gives life, sustains life, and redeems life never changes. Life is brief, but eternity is forever. Walk closely with Jesus. Love people well. Invest in what matters most. And remember, every day is a gift from God and an opportunity to live for His glory. Psalm 90:12

This morning, before you face the demands of the day, remember this: God’s love is greater than your failures. His mercy is bigger than your mistakes. His grace is sufficient for your weakness. His forgiveness is available for your sin. You don’t have to earn His favor today. You simply need to walk in it. Take a deep breath. The God who saved you is still sustaining you. And His mercies are new every morning.

What a privilege to spend today with the principals, superintendents, administrators, and educational leaders of the De Queen-Mena Education Service Cooperative. Schools get better when leaders get better. The same is true in every organization. The challenge is slowing down long enough to honestly evaluate ourselves, identify what needs to change, and commit to growing. Leadership is never static. We are either getting better or falling behind. Today was a room full of leaders committed to getting better. FinishEmpty.com

Everyone celebrates the touchdown, the promotion, the weight loss, the championship, the successful business, or the accomplishment. What they rarely see are the invisible victories that made those outcomes possible. The early mornings. The difficult conversations. The disciplined choices. The temptations resisted. The extra effort. The decision to keep going. Most success is won long before it is recognized. The battles nobody sees often determine the outcomes everyone sees. So if you're doing the right thing and nobody seems to notice, don't get discouraged. Character is being built. Strength is being developed. Foundations are being laid. Keep winning the invisible battles. They eventually become visible victories.

The next few weeks are going to be a sprint for me. Preaching, speaking, teaching, camps, leadership, teams. It has a little bit of everything. One reminder I’ll keep coming back to: Be where your feet are. When you’re with people, be with people. When you’re speaking, be there. When you’re preparing, prepare. When you’re resting, rest. The fastest way to miss what’s in front of you is to be distracted by what’s next. All of us go through seasons like this. Full calendars. Big responsibilities. Lots of opportunities. Don’t just survive it. Embrace it. Enjoy it. Give it your best. The goal isn’t to get through this season. It’s to be faithful in it.

Quitters always win. When we quit what is holding us back, we position ourselves to grow, maximize our capacity, and become all we were created to be. 10 Things to Quit Today: -Making excuses -Comparing yourself to others -Waiting for the perfect time -Settling for average -Seeking everyone’s approval -Negative self-talk -Dwelling on the past -Complaining -Trying to control everything -Living without clear priorities Pick one. Focus on it. The life you want may be waiting on something you need to quit.

Another Monday. For some people, Monday is a burden. For others, it is an opportunity. The day itself does not determine the outcome. Your approach does. You can start the week focused on everything you have to do, or you can focus on what you get to do. You can complain about the schedule, the meetings, the responsibilities, and the challenges. Or you can see them for what they are: opportunities to make a difference, create value, solve problems, and move forward. The most successful people are not always the most talented. They are often the most intentional. They attack the day with purpose. They bring energy when others bring excuses. They focus on what they can control and refuse to waste time on what they cannot. Don't just get through today. Win today. Because the way you approach Monday often sets the tone for the rest of the week.
