✝ Sunday Scripture ✝
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” Psalm 33:12 (🇺🇸
ESV)
One nation. Under God.
Those words are a declaration of dependence. An acknowledgment that this nation was never meant to stand on its own strength, its own wisdom, or its own righteousness.
It was meant to stand under God.
Under His authority. Under His guidance. Under His blessing. The word under is doing a lot of work in that phrase. It is a posture. A position. A people who understood that freedom without accountability to God was not freedom at all. It was just chaos.
The founders did not build a perfect nation. But they built one that pointed upward. One that acknowledged the source of its blessing out loud. In its documents. In its currency. In its pledge.
One nation. Under God.
Today that phrase is debated, removed from classrooms, challenged in courts, and dismissed as religious imposition. As it disappears from the public square, look at what is filling the space it left behind.
Psalm 33:12 has not changed. The condition for the blessing has not changed. The God who blessed this nation has not changed.
What has changed is whether we are willing to live under Him or whether we would rather live as our own authority and wonder why everything is falling apart.
One nation. Under God. That is still the only version of this country that works.
Pray for it today. Fight for it every day! 🇺🇸✝️
