Today, I welcomed Mayor Jason Utitofon Jackson of Islington, UK, and his family to Government House, Uyo. Mayor Jackson, a proud son of Ika LGA, has achieved something truly remarkable, showing our young people that with focus and passion, there are no limits to what they can achieve. His story is a beacon of hope and a reminder that Akwa Ibomites can excel anywhere in the world. I encouraged him to partner with us on programs that will expose children from our rural communities to opportunities abroad, inspiring them to dream bigger. We are incredibly proud of him and will continue to celebrate and support Akwa Ibom indigenes who make a global impact.

Today, my wife, Unoma and I, proudly received in courtesy, an Akwa Ibom son; The Mayor of Islington, Cllr Jason Utitofon Jackson and his family in Abuja. Jackson was born in Nigeria and grew up in Hackney, East London, where he studied at City and Islington College.

Yesterday at @Google HQ, I met Zoe Stern, Head of Community Affairs Europe, during their Community Training Day. We discussed AI and strengthened ties with @IslingtonBC and @isgiv, my charity of the Year. Looking forward to exploring inclusive community partnerships in Islington.

Yesterday I spoke at the @IslingtonBC Refugee week event. Islington remains a borough of sanctuary, and I'm proud to be an Islingtonian with African roots.
