Interesting decision for the Packers with Watson. I doubt he would get remotely close to that number in free agency, but when he is healthy he is super effective within the Packers system. Given Packers dont really do guarantees past the signing bonus and my expectation would be huge per game bonuses I think they are protected if its just another year or two of injuries
Kamara reporting to OTAs should not be considered odd. Hes basically in contract limbo right now and reporting for anything at least puts teams in a position to decide if they want to push forward or not. Injuries at a team held activity would protect his salary for the year.
#Eagles GM Howie Roseman said getting a 1st-round pick back was a must in any AJ Brown trade, and that the year of the pick didn’t matter:
“We’ve always been in the mindset that a pick is a pick. A first-round pick is a first-round pick. … Teams are still going to be playing football in 2028.”
There may be some slight changes depending on what the Browns do with the option but the effective dead money for Garrett will be $15.534 million in 2026 and $25.556 million in 2027
Myles Garrett has a $29.2M option bonus, with the decision on it deferred to September to facilitate a post-June 1 trade that has now come to fruition.
The 2026 cap number for the Rams could be as low as $9.14M without further renegotiation.
OBJ has done an amazing job of continuing to find homes in the nfl and creating buzz around each time he signs. Not sure anyone else has been able to do it like this
Russell Wilson retires as fifth highest in career earnings in NFL history at $315.8 million. He trails Stafford, Rodgers, Cousins, and Brady.
