Memorable escena de "El día de la bestia" (1995) en la que el Profesor Cavan se ve las caras con el niño poseído. Una de las mejores y más divertidas presentaciones de un personaje en el cine español, a la que ya precedía otra en la misma película: la de Santiago Segura como José María en la tienda de discos.
Cavan fue interpretado por el actor italiano Armando De Razza. Casi tres décadas después, el director Alex de la Iglesia volvió a contar con él para un papel en su película de terror Veneciafrenia (2021), rodada precisamente en la ciudad natal del actor.
El niño está interpretado por Jimmy Barnatán, que se había estrenado en el cine junto al mismo director con "Acción mutante" (1993) y más adelante participó en la saga Torrente con Santiago Segura y varias series de éxito en televisión. En 2013 creó el grupo de blues Jimmy Barnatán & The Cocooners.
