Outrage doesn't even begin to cover this. 📷 We need to talk about the recent comments on autism from a member of our current administration, because this level of misinformation is so dangerous. Let's be crystal clear: Autism is not a disease. Autism does not "destroy" families

Those with autism who require more support in the mentioned areas are equally deserving of love, acceptance, and dignity!!! This type of rhetoric fuels stigma, perpetuates harmful stereotypes, and undermines decades of progress in autism advocacy for awareness and acceptance.

We cannot allow this ignorance to stand. Educate yourself and others on the diversity of the autism spectrum and help amplify autistic voices and their experiences. The autism community deserves better. #endthestigma #ActuallyAutistic #AutismAcceptanceMonth

One of my favorite teaching tips to share: Test Talk. For the first 5 minutes of a testing session, students put their writing utensils on the ground, I hand out the tests, and students can collaborate. I hear some of the best mathematical conversations in these 5 minutes.
