Spoke to the Age last week about the shocking state of the #mentalhealth system. People who've made suicide attempts are assessed and discharged due to staff shortages. Community teams can't provide care required because of short staffing, surging demand. buff.ly/3GMqVIR

Another person referred to us having a mental health breakdown - they can't find alternative housing and were given 2 weeks illegal eviction notice. Fuck off landlords

Turned away from my #CovidVaccine today because of Morrison's joke of a 9pm press conference stopping Astra Zenecca. They've made million of doses of this stuff knowing that it's a dodgy, sub par vaccine - now the only one we have can't be administered thanks to their ineptitude

Excellent article @mahmoodicus. The thin blue line is getting wider each year, with more funding going to police than housing, mental health, AOD and youth programs. We need to fund these, not police prisons to reduce mental health crises and tragic, unnecessary deaths.
