With k-12 schools in NJ being sold, athletics & clubs being cut, and staff being let go, forcing an increase is class sizes, what is the Democratic party in Trenton doing? Debating a bill that makes the hazelnut the official state nut. ...really?

This. This is what it's all about. This is when you know you did it. This is when you feel the most proud; nothing is more satisfying than seeing my former Kindergartner achieve.

Wearing one of my favorite t-shirts from one of my favorite places. Belfast, by far, is my favorite spot in the UK. Some of the friendliest people on ๐ŸŒŽ AND the bars open at 9AM! ๐Ÿป I pray that the violence comes to a halt. We as humans are much better than this.

Rebecca Sherrill: Governor of the "underserved" and nobody else. "Free" tickets for those living in Newark, nothing for everyone else. Newark loses over 800 students, yet suddenly now gets tens of millions of dollars in additional aid. Biggest turnout for Rebecca? Newark.

Are your kids (or you at that) drinking the trendy 'dirty sodas'? The average dirty soda order (medium size) has the sugar equal to *19* Krispy Kreme donuts. Please drink responsibly!

This is a NAEP chart. Not biased. This has always been a good measuring stick, and this is scary. Cards on the table: I can count on one hand the number of times I read something for fun. I donโ€™t blame my parents, friends, or school. I just never enjoyed it. Today? Still there.
The percentage of 9 year olds who read for fun reaches a new low Source: NAEP

Some winners, but mostly losers: Why Rebecca is Wrong to Reserve FIFA Tickets for Select Students Instead of All New Jersey Residents The 2026 FIFA World Cup is coming to New Jersey, and for many residents it represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Unfortunately, Governor Mikie Sherrill's decision to reserve complimentary tickets for underserved students misses a fundamental point: the World Cup belongs to every New Jerseyan. This is not an argument against underserved students. Every child deserves opportunities to experience major cultural and sporting events. The issue is fairness. New Jersey taxpayers from every background will help support the World Cup. Families across the state will deal with increased traffic, public expenditures, security costs, and the logistical challenges that come with hosting one of the largest sporting events on the planet. Residents from Bergen County to Cape May County are helping make this event possible. Why then should only one group receive access to free tickets? A middle-class family struggling with inflation may not qualify as "underserved." A retired couple living on fixed income may not qualify. A working-class family earning just above an eligibility threshold may not qualify. Yet many of these residents could never afford World Cup ticket prices on the open market. Their tax dollars matter too. Government should not be in the business of deciding which residents are worthy of experiencing an event that belongs to the entire state. When government picks winners and losers, it inevitably excludes thousands of people who are equally deserving. The better solution would be a statewide lottery open to every New Jersey resident. Every resident would have an equal chance to receive tickets regardless of age, income, race, ZIP code, or political connection. That approach would accomplish something rare in modern government: genuine fairness. A random lottery would unite New Jersey rather than divide it into categories of deserving and undeserving. It would acknowledge that all residents contribute to our communities and all residents share in the excitement of hosting the World Cup. Governor Sherrill often speaks about opportunity and inclusion. True inclusion means opening the door to everyoneโ€”not just a selected group chosen by government officials. The World Cup is not the property of politicians. It is not the property of advocacy organizations. It is not the property of any single demographic group. It belongs to New Jersey. And every New Jerseyan should have an equal opportunity to be there. #FIFAWorldCup #NJ

As federal agencies revisit long-standing assumptions about screens in schools, they should prioritize a more balanced approach to education. One that reduces reliance on screen-based learning and restores proven practices that strengthen attention, literacy, and genuine learning. concernedwomen.org/trump-admโ€ฆ
