Transit advocacy has lost a real one. Rest in peace John. #pghtransit
We are saddened to learn of the passing of John Tague, a former Port Authority/PRT Board member, disability rights advocate, public transit supporter, and friend. For decades, John dedicated his life to helping others, working tirelessly to improve accessibility and expand opportunities for people with disabilities throughout our region. His compassion, advocacy, and commitment to public service made a lasting impact on countless lives. We are grateful for the opportunity to have worked with John and extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy will not be forgotten.

Wait, so politicians CAN buy their own tickets to sports games? We thought, according to the laws of physics, they could only go if it’s paid for by corporate lobbyists calling themselves something really stupid and uncreative like “Team Pennsylvania” (From @StephenJ_Caruso)

my hottest take re: CA DSA is a lot of you don't know anything about what happens in other chapters and instead of approaching with curiosity and intrigue about their project, you whack them over the head in the most obnoxious, debate bro-y way possible

DSA will be the party, comrade
I appreciate these comrades putting forward their position but I certainly take issue with the claim that this is “Partyism.” This is just trading DFL tailism for Green tailism. We need to be running candidates who want to build DSA as their party.

Inbox: The 5,000 strong faculty of Penn State, including faculty members across all departments, full-time and part-time, and at the main and satellite campuses, have unionized with SEIU Local 668. The union says its the largest public sector win in 50 years.

We're celebrating National Bike to Work Day with @BikePGH ! Like public transit, biking cuts down on costs, emissions, and traffic. All of our buses are equipped with a bike rack, so you don't have to choose between one or the other. Don't have a bike? Take a bus to a @POGOH bike rental station and explore the city!

The Green Party faces an overwhelming amount of treachery and unlawful sabotage by the Democrat Party every time they run a candidate. It’s maddening. And the reason the DNC gets away with it is because it happens in the dark. No coverage, no headlines. So many battles fought behind the scenes, never to be known by the public. The Green Party faces a national media blackout thanks to the Democrat party. It’s not fun or popular to talk about this, is it? It’s not easy to build something new. But it’s much harder to stick with the same old betrayal. It’s insane, actually. Endorsing democrats is inviting betrayal. It doesn’t matter if you like that particular candidate’s platforms, once elected they become woven into the Epstein tapestry. It doesn’t matter what individual candidates believe and what they tell the public. What matters is the private corporation they belong to, of which they are employees: its leadership, the people who sign the checks. Good apple-ing a D/R candidate only lends legitimacy to the institution, where there should be none. The problem is structural. @ButchWare can’t even get his name on the ballot for governor of California because Blue outspends Green with petty and spurious lawsuits. How many of you even know of his candidacy? How many have interviewed him? Where is this narrative? You won’t find it on CNN, Fox, NBC or CBS. Yet it exists and persists despite being undermined at every turn. The whole point is to not accept the framework of what the Epstein class tells us is acceptable, unacceptable, possible, or impossible. We’re not here to make ourselves small and acquiesce to the terms and conditions imposed upon us by this supranational shadow cabal of wealthy pedophilic sociopaths. Never has there ever been a better time to support the Green Party. Most Americans are sick of the Democrats and Republicans (Pew research, May 2026). Why gaslight them? A space has opened up in the collective conscious. Something new could emerge. History is not yet written. Never has it been more clear that we must build a sovereign working-class party. It will take time, there will be struggles, there will be tactical defeats, but we will have a chance to build something with integrity, with foundation. If we leave the Epstein class in charge, there is a 100% chance nothing will change.
