NEAR, a top non-EVM blockchain, has gone live on Router’s Testnet Mandara. With Router Nitro, our flagship dApp, users in the NEAR ecosystem can now transfer test tokens to and from NEAR onto other supported chains.
After the mainnet launch, cross-chain fund and asset transfers will be fully enabled.
🔁 Token Transfers Simplified to
@NEARProtocol!
Once Router Nitro goes live on Mainnet, users will be able to effortlessly transfer an array of tokens - stablecoins, wrapped assets, and more - to and from any supported chain on to NEAR.
Let’s get a better understanding 👇
Consider this scenario: User initiates a cross-chain transaction of an asset from Ethereum to NEAR.
Router Nitro employs three distinct flows to execute this transaction seamlessly: our foundational Forwarder flow, Circle’s CCTP Flow, or the Mint and Burn Flow, based on the token type.
The Forwarder flow operates through trustless entities known as Forwarders. These entities are basically market makers who provide liquidity, empowering Router Nitro to facilitate swift transactions at an optimal cost, thereby enhancing the capital efficiency of the bridge.
Furthermore, Router Nitro also employs the "Reverse Verification" flow, ensuring rapid and cost-effective transfers. This application-specific bridging construct, unique to our chain, can enhance the efficiency of other applications.
This integration with NEAR extends these capabilities to the NEAR community through Router Nitro. Now, users within the NEAR ecosystem can benefit from these offerings seamlessly.
About Router Nitro:
Router Nitro is an intents based, modular cross chain bridge that will be up to 60% cheaper, working on zero TVL; highly secure and quicker than all incumbents.

About NEAR Protocol:
NEAR Protocol is a Layer 1 blockchain network known for its fast speed, high security, and infinite scalability. NEAR Foundation, a Swiss non-profit foundation, supports the development and operation of the network. The foundation operates an ecosystem fund of up to KRW 1.15 trillion (approximately USD 1 billion) to promote its own ecosystem growth. NEAR has attracted investments from prestigious investors such as a16z, Coinbase Ventures, Multi Coin Capital, and Hashed, recognizing the technical expertise of its excellent developers.
