Yup- these props are made to serve a function for the film, not to be translated/read. To expect the production graphics team or screenwriters to take the time to fully write the Jedi text pages is expecting too much. They are running at their deadlines at a mile a minute.

The "Queen of Ranroon" dataplaque features a recurrence of both unidentified alphabets seen on the "HYR" dataplaque, so we'll set those aside for this pass, and revisit them with "HYR." Instead, we'll focus on the abundant Protobesh: 23/

first time Clynese has appeared in a Star Wars film! Translating it gives balance to the one-word assertion of "Power," by adding the one-word statement: "LIFE" 18/

Also, Dryden Vos displays the "Alignment" dataplaque upside down, while Dok Ondar has it righway up. This may be unintentional (he may not have been able to translate it) or intentional (he may have placed the word "Dark" on top out of preference). 13/

Now let's identify and translate known languages! We'll start with "Alignment" as it is the most clearly visible, and all of the text can be translated confidently. This writing system is "Domabesh" a variant of Aurebesh that can be seen throughout the ancient city of Jedha, 10/

The cover of β€œThe Art of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” features a stunning shot of Jedha and more inscriptions written in domabesh, the ancient language developed for Jedha City in Rogue One. #StarWars #JediSurvivor

Nice to see Domabesh show up in Young Jedi Adventures! Takes me back to the good old days of Rogue One and scrutinizing the walls of Jedha for new characters. (It says TABLE OF CONTENTS.)

The Tibetan script is more than writing - it’s a sacred art form. As its daily use declines, efforts to preserve it are more vital than ever. If you're interested, join the Script Keepers Network or go to our interactive Atlas - links in bio #tibetanscript #scriptkeepersnetwork

The numerals in my font are mostly pentimal with some quirks, up until 200, when they switch over to base 10 positional, for convenience. You can also just always keep them base 10 positional. (Red numerals are from the companion latin font)
