Doug Ford has made his choices. He chose to buy himself a $30 million private jet. He chose to change the law to hide his phone records. He didn't choose to make life more affordable. I'll keep holding him to account every single day.

Whole fruit: no tax. Fruit tray: taxed. Loaf of bread: no tax. Sandwich: taxed. Block of cheese: no tax. Cheese tray: taxed. People shouldn't be taxed more on groceries for being busy.

Doug Ford sat in the legislature for 29 days this year. He was on time seven times. We hold grade fives to a higher standard. His priorities? Buying himself a luxury jet. Hiding his phone records. Cutting OSAP. Taking over the Toronto Islands. My priorities? Scrapping the tax on groceries. Saving OSAP. Making life more affordable.

Doug Ford gets an F. The legislature sat for 29 days this year. Doug Ford used that time to buy a jet, try to take over Billy Bishop, and restrict FOI requests to hide his records. He didn't fix a single thing for people struggling with rent, groceries, or gas. The Ontario NDP will keep fighting for solutions to make life more affordable.

People need cheaper groceries. That means more competition, more choice, and stopping big grocery chains from blocking cheaper stores from opening nearby. Last month, we introduced a bill to do exactly that, and to scrap the tax on food. Doug Ford’s government voted it down.

A “productive conversation” about wait times with a government opening the door to two-tier health care? Ontario needs faster public health care, not Danielle Smith’s privatization playbook.

Doug Ford chartered a private jet with taxpayer dollars to Washington so he could play Captain Canada for a day. And he still couldn’t get a meeting with the U.S. administration. So what did Ontarians pay for? A photo op? A headline? Another round of Ford pretending to be Prime Minister while families here are paying more and getting less? Ontarians need their Premier focused on Ontario.
Doug Ford flew to Washington to play Captain Canada but couldn’t get a meeting with anyone from the U.S. administration. Back home, he voted against removing the tax on food and lowering grocery prices. Ontarians are paying for the show – and getting nothing for it.

Doug Ford's Minister of Education spent the entire session standing in front of cameras across Ontario and even in London UK to announce fake funding for our classrooms. Minister Calandra thought he could silence students and educators by performing accounting tricks on camera. Instead, he got caught with his pants down after documents revealed his $750 for classrooms were all smoke and mirrors.
Ontario promised $750/year for teachers to buy supplies. It turns out it's not all new money trib.al/9KqQfQ7

Families are being squeezed. Grocery giants are making huge profits. So let's take the tax off groceries, stop grocery giants from blocking competition, and ban surveillance pricing to lower costs now.

People are done with a corrupt Premier who says no to tackling affordability and yes to himself and his insiders. Ontario is ready for change.
#BREAKING — but not surprising: Doug Ford's approval rating fell 10 points to just 21%. In the last few weeks, we put forward real plans to lower grocery costs: ✅Remove the tax on groceries ✅Ban surveillance pricing ✅Stop grocery giants from blocking competition Doug Ford voted them down. Then he bought a $30M jet, changed the law to hide his phone records, sold out Toronto’s waterfront to American billionaires, and took a 21-week vacation. When you vote against relief and choose yourself and insiders instead, people notice.

Today, we celebrate Filipino Independence Day and honour the history, resilience, and culture of the Filipino people.   In 1898, the Philippines declared independence from 300 years of Spanish colonial rule.   For many in the Filipino diaspora, this day is a celebration of heritage, community, and the traditions that keep us connected to home, no matter where we are in the world.   Ontario is stronger because of your talents and contributions, and we’re grateful for all that you bring to our province.

Ontario has fallen to last place on housing. While other provinces build, Doug Ford keeps getting in the way of Ontario's housing goals. It's time to get out of the way, it's time to get Ontario back in the business of building housing. globalnews.ca/news/11904820/…

In just 29 days, Doug Ford’s government has managed to buy a private luxury jet, take municipalities and school boards, and threaten the future of the Toronto Islands. Meanwhile, Ontarians are worried about finding a family doctor, affording groceries, and staying safe on our highways. The government’s priorities couldn’t be more out of touch.

Doug Ford is having a bad time. His luxury jet purchase blew up in his face. His scandals keep piling up. So he shut down the legislature for 102 days. While Ontarians struggle with grocery prices – the Premier is hiding.

This is the cost of Doug. He is spending hundreds of thousands of tax dollars to take luxury private jet flights for photo-ops. While Ontarians are struggling to pay rent or put food on the table, Doug Ford is taking money out of their pockets to live the good life at 30,000 feet.

In Doug Ford's Ontario, you need a credit card to see a doctor. $80 per visit. $400 for a "membership." For healthcare you already paid for with your taxes. He's creating two classes of patients: those who can pay more and those who can't.

Raw chicken? No tax. Rotisserie chicken? Taxed. Orange juice? No tax. Single serve juice? Taxed. The system makes no sense. It hits hardest when you’re working late and just need to grab something on the go. That’s why we're proposing to scrap the tax on all food and drink.

Doug Ford’s government said its FOI changes weren’t about hiding records. Now those changes have killed a journalist’s request for records on the Billy Bishop expansion. The records aren’t being released. The public may never see them. This is exactly what he wanted.
I wrote to Prime Minister Carney today. Doug Ford said Canada wasn't for sale. Then he rammed through the Billy Bishop expansion – pushed by an American company tied to JP Morgan. Toronto's waterfront is being handed to Wall Street. The expansion can't proceed without federal approval. Prime Minister, don't approve it.

He fired his own caucus chair for raising concerns about the $30M jet. While families struggled with grocery bills and hospital wait times, the Premier has spent the last 10 weeks managing his own scandals. He works for the big billionaires of America. Not you.
Doug Ford doesn't just seem out of touch. He chooses to be.
