Hey @Uber WTF?!? I have been waiting 20 minutes for a scheduled pickup at SEATAC, and I can’t ask for help in the app unless I cancel the ride and get charged. #FAIL

... It makes me wonder whether we can trust Ally Bank. If than can suddenly no longer be relied upon to handle day-to-day transactions, are they the next mid-sized bank domino to fall?

Scary: Suddenly, Ally Bank is rejecting (debit card) payment requests from SaaS I have used for years. (Have the funds/current expiration date, etc.) @AllyCare claims the transactions are being flagged as "fraud risk" by @Mastercard so Ally can do nothing. This makes me wonder...

Way to go, @AskLyft! You made us (including a baby) wait 45 minutes for a string of drivers who never showed up. Maybe this is why you can’t make any money. #FAIL

Huh. Looking back at my last few tweets (which have been sporadic, to say the most) you’d think the world was falling apart. Parts of it are dysfunctional, but most aren’t. Maybe I should share about those parts too, eh?

Dear @elonmusk: PLEASE implement the EDIT feature as soon as you get the keys. Love, me.
Now starting hour FIVE of waiting in the @kpwashington ER for a remote radiologist to glance at simple X-Rays. “There is nothing we tell you about how much longer it will take.”

$1,000 spent trying to hang in there, but we are reluctantly cancelling our TWO @tovalafood accounts due to their broken shipping logistics.

I have been thinking about the perils of ignoring inactive ("zombie") SaaS subscribers. Am I over-thinking this, or is this a real thing? jeffhelman.com/zombie-saas-s…

We can—no, we MUST—fix this.

Really “enjoying” Alaska Airline today. First: They redirected our flight (#841) to Hawaii out of Portland “to get extra fuel” due to headwinds. Then we get to Oakland, and they announce we have a fuel leak. We are now without a plane—and the crew has to leave.
2
To state the obvious, when every resource in any system is “optimized” like the airlines have done, there is no capacity in that system to absorb any glitches. This means that the system must run flawlessly, or it falls apart from any unexpected event.

There is an important lesson here for us makers and service business owners: Promise very wisely. It’s so enticing to sell a vision that is beyond our reach to consistently deliver.
Replying to @artofproductpod
@artofproductpod I had to stop listening to episode 84 just now until I finished my commute. WAY too many actionable takeaways to keep in my mental stack.

In fact, it was so good, it caused me to travel into the future. (Correction: Episode 82!)
