As a 48-year old, the Oilers being on the verge of winning the Stanley Cup has me feeling as if I’m 8 years old again, the first time they won.
And a not so subtle reminder of how fast life passes.
It’s hard to articulate the feeling but I wonder if anyone else can relate?

Is there a chance Babcock backs out at this stage to avoid investigation?
This will be really interesting. When this first started coming to the surface in 2023, I didn’t think anything would come of it but where there was smoke there was fire. So is that the case here again?

Let’s not pretend Babcock is some Messiah here. He had 4 straight 50 win seasons in Detroit and had just as much disappointment as success.
A mistake to think somehow Babcock magically is the difference between winning a Stanley Cup and not. Toronto already lived that.

The Oilers have backed themselves into a corner that puts them at Vegas‘ mercy.
It’s unprecedented for a team to play hardball like this, but if there’s anyone you don’t wanna take that chance with it, it’s Vegas.
Would be wild if the Oilers have to go in a different direction.
