ALT Doctoral TA/GA Salaries 32.6% increase across the contract, 15% increase in year 1. In 2023-24, PhD TA/GAs who were on a TA/GA contract last year will also receive back pay for the 22-23 academic year to date ($4,516) before the end of the year and will begin the academic year 23-24 at $35,335. This contract makes Rutgers one of the highest public university doctoral TA/GA salaries in the country, along with UC.

ALT PTL Salaries Per 3-Credit Course: 43.7% increase across the contract. 30% increase in year 1. Once the contract is ratified, PTLs will receive backpay for the Fall 2022 semester. PTL advancement: new levels 4 and 5 based on length of service or credits taught. 10% pay increase for advancement to next level. Job Security: PTLs now have 2 and 4 semester appointments based on seniority. Winter-Summer teaching is now counted toward PTL seniority, with classes paid at the same per-credit rates listed above.
