Please retweet! We are fundraising for our charity, the The Oliver Steeper Foundation in memory of Oliver to provide free anti-choking MHRA approved LifeVac devices into early years settings, schools and beyond. gofundme.com/f/lifevac-for-c… In September 2021, our world became shattered following the death of our beautiful little boy Oliver (aged 9 months) who sadly choked on pasta and died a week later from catastrophic brain injuries caused by hypoxia following the choking episode. Shortly after we started the Oliver Steeper Foundation with the sole intention of providing LifeVac anti-choking devices free of charge into childcare settings, including training to use them. - Fundraising in memory of Oliver In our son's name, we wish to fundraise as much as we can to enable us to purchase LifeVac devices that we can then gift into childcare settings starting with Kent, and then if funds allow continuing across the whole of the United Kingdom. 100% of all donations will be used to purchase devices, myself or Zoe will never take funds from the charity - Charity Commission Registration We are currently in the process of registering our charity with the charities commission but this is taking longer than expected. - About LifeVac We came across @LifeVacEurope shortly after his death and thought what an amazing device this is and we strongly believe it would of helped Oliver stand a chance of still being here today. LifeVac is a regulated medical device and is licensed in the UK and around the world to be used by anyone in a choking emergency, including on children. LifeVac is regulated by the MHRA, FDA, TGA, HPFB, MOH, SAHPRA and many more medical device regulatory bodies. LifeVac is also CE registered. LifeVac is not a first aid device, it is a medical device to be used when first aid fails or cannot be performed. Backed by multiple peer-reviewed medical publications proving safety, effectiveness, lives saved, comparison studies and ease of use. Medical device regulatory bodies are the bodies that control the use of medicines and medical devices within countries, in the UK this body is the MHRA. The MHRA say that LifeVac can be used on anyone and by anyone. - Can I purchase a LifeVac for home or workplace? Absolutely! Head over to lifevac.uk and choose the version of LifeVac you wish (Travel kit, standard kill, wall mounted etc) and at the checkout, use discount code 'of10' which will give you a 10% discount and LifeVac will donate a small % back to the charity to help us fund more free devices. Thankyou in advance for any donations made to help us on our mission in the memory of Oliver to supply these devices and hopefully save a child's life when BLS failsor cannot be performed. gofundme.com/f/lifevac-for-c…

Cut off lots of flowers as don’t trust teenage son to deadhead, so now taking a jar full away to brighten up our shepherd’s hut. Just as long as I can keep them upright for 4 hours.

Been on 2 great trips to @CromfordMills with each of our Y6 classes to consolidate all they have learnt about Arkwright and his influence on the Industrial Revolution. Staff at the mill were incredibly helpful and going by train was so much cheaper and more enjoyable than coach.

The government's response to the ratios proposals has now been published: assets.publishing.service.go…. It makes clear that most respondents opposed the proposal:

Ratios is a devastating blow to children. As a parent who lost a child to a nursery and campaigned last year to have it shelved (and it was in Jan this year) to now have it back on the table is a real blow to the safety of children.

Passed my dissertation which has been the final year in my parttime MA focusing on Primary School maths. It’s just a pass/fail master’s, but I’m really pleased with the feedback. What next?

As part of @Channel4's #MakeMePrimeMinister I'm competing for your vote to be Britain's next (alternative) PM. What would I do if elected? I'd put compassion at the heart of politics. Here, in my manifesto, is what that would look like metro.co.uk/2022/10/11/jacki… @CompInPolitics

Hello @JakeBerry, I help to run an early years setting. Our staff are on low wages because government funding is just over £4 p/h. Who will look after other people's children while they go to work, if all our staff have left to get better paid jobs?

8/ The coming battle must be against poverty, not against the poor. You cannot rely on a heartless government having a change of heart, but concerted action by the public can force a change of mind. The time for action is now. Please sign the petition. act.38degrees.org.uk/act/Uni…
