There are no words to express the grief and emptiness felt by the loss of our dear friend, mentor, leader, and role model. She made such a profound impact everywhere she went. It still doesn't feel real, and I keep hoping to wake up from a nightmare. We miss her so much 💔

Releasing the killer's hit list of public officials at this time isn't just irresponsible—it's dangerous. It puts lives at risk and fuels fear. There's a difference between informing the public and giving a blueprint for harm. This crossed that line.

Thanks for all the msgs from fellow survivors🙏🏻 The lesson: whatever survivors of CSA say on here about CSA awareness is a moot point. Good news at least: IRL my R colleagues do not react to me or anyone like we've seen here, and I respect that morality wins where it matters.

I need to say it: anyone conflating or comparing the issues between a burglar and a child rapist is part of the problem. Full stop.

Must read: dailykos.com/history/user/Ca… Do not capitulate. Pedos who hunt kids to rape are the problem, not an unrelated sen's case. Don't be distracted by those who seek to move the convo from sex crimes against children to hot headed political debates about legislative ethics.

The ppl who say, "no one's hurt in a sting" or "no victim, no crime" or "1st time, won't happen again" (as if perps are caught the 1st time they try or do assault) are using the same defense as pedos & are either apologists or potential perps to keep an eye on 👀

This is what morality, decency, and a spine looks like ⬇️ There is no comparison that can be made without capitulation. Pedos are emboldened when society even hints that their crimes are on par with objectively less heinous crimes. This isn't abt R vs D. It's abt right vs wrong.
Sen. Justin Eichorn allegedly tried to have sex with a child; Sen. Nicolle Mitchell allegedly committed a burglary. There is no comparison between the two alleged crimes. Every Minnesota State Senator - regardless of party - must demand Sen. Eichorn's immediate resignation.

Now that the illegal GOP power grab is over, the House DFL has two commonsense asks: - Respect the will of Shakopee voters and don't kick out Rep. Tabke - Respect the will of MN voters and co-govern when we return to a tie The Senate GOP agreed. Why not the House GOP?

NEW: A giant, radical memo from House Budget Committee Republicans was recently leaked. It’s a menu of all the tax breaks they want to give to the wealthy and corporations—and all the stuff they could cut to pay for it. Everything you need to know, a thread 🧵

Democrats are asking Republicans for something very simple, and that is to honor the will of the voters.

Republicans refuse to answer yes or no when asked if they will seat Rep. Brad Tabke of Shakopee, whose victory was upheld on election night, in a recount, and by a judge. The people of Shakopee deserve to decide who represents them, not 67 Republican politicians.

Minnesotans should be outraged by what Republicans are doing. They didn't win a majority, they are trying kick out a rep who won his election, and they are giving your tax dollars to their own "leader's" employer to defend their illegal actions. Can't make it up 🤷🏼‍♀️

You need to hire lawyers with taxpayer money to defend your illegal power grab? You need to hire your literal partners at your own law firm? No other attorneys available? You're playing at "chair" and failing the most basic conflict of interest tests right out of the gate.
Replying to @HarryNiska
We need to hire lawyers to defend our democratic institutions against DFL lawfare, so we are asking the legal team who helped protect the rights of Minnesotans to vote for President Trump last year. Because those lawyers are my colleagues outside of the legislature, they will be hired independently from that firm. That was made clear in the hearing, but any confusion about that could have been cleared up by showing and doing your job.

The fake "rules committee" today "authorized" taxpayer money to go to "chair" Niska's law firm to pay for defending their illegal power grab. You can't make this stuff up. Can you imagine the GOP outcry if Dems did this?
