The ice released one final secret for us this year - an arrow with the quartzite arrowhead still in place! The fibers fastening the arrowhead are intact, and black pitch still covers the arrowhead. The complete arrowshaft is there as well, in three pieces.

We have DoE students this week, and on the drive back from testing the coracles they made, they began singing @HH_World Horrible Histories songs. Fantastic

I wrote a piece about the long history of Hadza people being exploited, using one recent case as an example. I appreciate all of the responses I've received so far. It makes me happy that so many of us *get* it. 1/6 africasacountry.com/2022/03/…

Due to some miscommunication the schools gates were locked whilst we were out getting food, so had to scale a fence over 2m to get to my bed this evening #Professional

The 6,500 year old #Mesolithic Bad Dürrenberg headdress is presently on display in the @britishmuseum’s awe inspiring #TheWorldOfStonehenge exhibition. Who wore it & what was so special about them? (Archaeology thread 👇)

Spent yesterday evening stretching a red deer hide, it’s surprisingly satisfying work - Sarah and I were both surprised how far it stretched as well @Stoneage_Ed
