ALT At a secret location, the intergalactic terminal awaits its first alien visitors. A customs officer is ready with forms printed in every conceivable script. The coffee shop has receptacles designed for mouth, beak, trunk or mandible. A stall sells postcards, earth souvenirs, and an encyclopedic array of travel adaptors. The shuttle bus runs hourly to the city, stopping at a number of mid-price hotels. So far, the only landings on the runway or saucer-pad have been by local birds.

She says "Most people assume that fungi are plants. Whereas in fact, they form a kingdom of their own." Panbel Two: Caption : After the lecture The scientist now appears to be in a subterranean cave, before her stand two very large mushrooms guarding a larger, beardedmushroom who sits in athrone wearing a crown. One of the mushrooms says "His majesty is very pleased with the work you are doing."
