Helene is a tragedy but with the ocean as warm as it is it unfortunately will happen again. Now imagine if the government was shut down like 82 Republicans voted for. Imagine if FEMA and NOAA didn't exist like in Trump's Project 2025. We need serious people in politics.

If we could prescribe exercise in a FDA approved pill, 💊 our patients would want it, yet it’s difficult to motivate many patients to exercise when it is free of charge. Fascinating paper on anticancer immunity with exercise.

Hey @UHC my hospital is threatening to cancel surg for patient who is bleeding, anemic, has a huge submucosal fibroid - because YOU deemed the procedure medically unnecessary. In addition we’ve requested two P2P and no one has called me. unacceptable. Call me or DM immediately.

The reality is regional. Think of the US as two countries:
Some blue counties with increasing life-expectancy better than 🇯🇵 (84) & many red counties with plummeting life expectancy worse than 🇷🇺 (71).

The data is compelling: high volume surgeons have better outcomes. Feel empowered to ask your Gynecologic or pelvic surgeon how many hysterectomies, slings, prolapse repairs, etc. they do per year. A reasonable rule of thumb is they should be doing them weekly. #SGS2023
