He stabbed an 18-year-old student five times and then watched him die while lying to police.
On December 3, 2025, Henry Nowak, an 18-year-old British-Polish university student in Southampton, was walking home after a night out. He began recording Vickrum Singh Digwa, 23, during a verbal altercation.
Digwa suddenly attacked, stabbing Henry five times with an 8-inch dagger, including a fatal wound to the chest. As Henry lay dying and repeatedly told arriving officers he had been stabbed and could not breathe, one officer replied, "I don't think you have, mate." Police handcuffed the dying teen instead of immediately treating him.
Digwa falsely claimed Henry had attacked him racially. His mother later hid the murder weapon. Bodycam footage of the cold interaction has shocked the public.
In May 2026, Digwa was convicted of murder and sentenced to life with a minimum of 21 years. His mother was convicted of assisting an offender.
