🧵🧵DOGE - A Lawyer’s Perspective on the @elonmusk @realDonaldTrump Policy Centerpiece I inherently do not trust the media so I decided to look into DOGE myself and see what is under the hood. Initially I was quite concerned about the legality of a “new agency” created by executive order but that - just like everything else - is a lie put out by the mainstream. The order is here and the thread is below: @VigilantFox

If his words were written and not credited to him, you would think they were spoken by Trump and members of his team. And this was almost 50 years ago. The government loves the phrase from the Carter era, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." But a counter to the phrase from 1992 is better, "If it ain't broke, break it!" If you break it, you get a chance to make it better, go a new direction, do better, get rid of complacency, gat rid of cost, and so much more.

A very real look at government and solutions for fixing it. Pass it on.
.@BillAckman: "On Trump's side, we have Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, and Vivek Ramaswamy. These are actually very, very capable people. Musk is focused on everything from regulation to government efficiency to waste and cutting costs. He's obviously pretty good at that. He let go of 80% of X, and it's a much more highly functioning, better product today. Kennedy is going to focus on corruption, pharma, and making Americans healthy. These are critical issues for the country. Part of the reason why our budget's out of balance is we have such an unhealthy populace. We spend an absolute fortune on health care, and we have the worst health outcomes of any major country in the world. If we can change that alone, we're going to save enormous amounts of money. I credit Trump. Strong leaders are not afraid to bring on talented people to work alongside them. JD Vance is an extremely intelligent and articulate. Compare Tim Walz in terms of mental acuity, talent, and life achievement versus JD Vance. I think that speaks to what the leadership team will look like in the Trump administration, and I'm excited about it. The Trump approach accelerates the growth of the country and eliminates a lot of regulations that make no sense and are holding back economic progress. Think about how long it takes to build a bridge, a building, or even a home in the United States, the nature of the approvals you have to get, and the number of government agencies. Look at the Biden administration; they spent $42 billion on rural internet, and no one has been connected in years. They spent $7 billion on a dozen charging stations. The government is notoriously inefficient. So I think one massive review of the regulatory quagmire to set up the country efficiently and having Elon Musk as your partner in this enterprise is a huge home run. When was the last time you heard a presidential candidate talk about cutting waste in government? So, having a department of government efficiency makes tremendous sense. Eliminate waste. Accelerate growth. Reduce the cost of energy, which is embedded in the cost of everything. And we grow our way and improve our efficiency out of the debt problem. This is still the most entrepreneurial nation in the world. AI is this incredibly powerful technology that is going to be transformative, and I think that's how we're going to solve the problem. We solve it with growth and efficiency. We're introducing technology into the corporate landscape to make business more efficient. We haven't looked at introducing technology to the government to make it more efficient. I couldn't imagine a better person than Elon Musk to help with that."

You need to have a look at this site. A lot of useful information.
I get 20 emails just like these every day. I’ve also received over 100 where people are telling me how the Trump hoax debunk site converted them or someone they know into a new Trump voter. Super grateful it’s been useful in this election.

Depends on the service. If it was typical good service $16, if it was not the best, $10-$12. If it was above average $20-$25.

The Harris campaign's Trump Hoax Overload Strategy has been hugely successful. Apparently, they know Trump has no effective defense against it. Debunk one hoax and six more replace it, while the corrupt media does no fact-checking against it. Trump's most capable supporters can't help because they are neutered by media silos, including on X. Only Trump can break all media silos and reach all voters. And Trump needs a reframe. Defending against individual hoaxes, and making hoax lists, only works for his base. No one outside Trump's base sees that content or believes it when we tell them. But the media has a soft underbelly that can be targeted. I learned of this in my own media training years ago: They can't resist reporting on how a public figure is using a strategy that has never been tried. Journalists are human. If you let them write about the "new way" of anything, they love it. But they don't love writing about how someone did slightly better than someone else doing normal stuff. Too boring. I recommend the following reframe: 1. Build an official Hoax Debunk site that explains the hoaxes, but IMPORTANTLY also describes HOW the hoaxes were performed. That's the magic sauce. Several hoaxes involve edited video. Show how they did it. Show the whole manuscript. Others are examples of Democrats doing "bad mindreading." Some hoaxes are completely made up, and we know who started them. Others are crimes of "association." Some hoaxes involve blaming Republicans of what Democrats are doing, to take the heat off themselves, such as the "stealing Democracy" hoax. 2. Trump and his supporters need to refer to the Hoax Debunk page whenever a zombie hoax pops up. 3. Trump needs to spend some time explaining HOW THE HOAXES ARE CREATED in his public statements, or at least how any individual hoax was created. WRONG: "The Fine People story is a hoax." RIGHT: "If you want to lose all remaining faith in the media, go to [the hoax site] to see how that hoax was created with a fake edit. You can see the unedited video to see for yourself. When you're there, look at how the other hoaxes were created too. It's appalling that we have to live like this. We need honest media to have a great country." 4. We need a QR code to link to the Hoax Debunk page. Include it on every campaign image. 5. Preemptively predict how the Democrats will respond with even more hoaxes and fake fact-checking.
