Retained! One of our most important signings from last season is staying at Romford FC. @mr_levien46 will be keeping the lads in top shape once again this season as the club's physio.

CLUB STATEMENT | Welcome Home Shane Baptiste Woodford Town FC are delighted to confirm the reappointment of Shane Baptiste as First Team Manager ahead of the 2026/27 season. Shane returns to the Club following a highly successful previous spell in charge, during which he established Woodford Town as a consistent competitor near the top-end of the Essex Senior League table, as well as building a community and culture off the pitch to be proud of. His passion, leadership, deep understanding of the Club’s identity and above all else, commitment, left a lasting impression on everyone associated with Woodford Town. During his tenure, the Club achieved record Essex Senior League finishes - including two third-place finishes and one second-place finish - while setting Club record points totals in each of his final three seasons in charge. By doing so, we reached both a Play-Off Semi-Final and Final, in addition to a historic Emirates FA Cup run in 2025, progressing to the Third Qualifying Round with victories over Step Three and Step Four opposition. Chairman, Tony Scott: “We’re delighted to welcome Shane back to Ashton’s. He knows the Club inside out and understands exactly what it takes to build a competitive side at this level. Just as importantly, he recognises the values we as a Club hold, whilst the connection he has built with our supporters fills me with confidence that he is the right appointment to lead us forward.” Shane will take charge of First Team affairs from 1st May, and is fully committed to ensuring we get back on track following a difficult spell. Further updates regarding his backroom staff will be announced by the Club in due course.

I’d have given it to Harry Boon, his control on a tricky bobbly pitch was first class. I watched Billy play a lot last season, he’s been outstanding in his few games for Springfield, was only a matter of time before the goals came, well done lads 👏👏👏
