Sad to hear Aldon Smith passed. Believe it or not he was a really good egg and we fought like hell to keep him in the facility during his suspension but was denied multiple times.

Mary, I can understand where you’re coming from. A lot of people feel exhausted by politics showing up everywhere, and I don’t blame anyone for being frustrated when it seems impossible to escape it.
That said, my years in the NFL actually reinforced the opposite lesson for me. I’ve worked with people from every political belief and background imaginable, and some of the best people I’ve known voted very differently from one another. If I judged everyone solely by their politics, I’d have missed out on a lot of friendships and a lot of respect for good people.
For me, it’s less about defending Hollywood or pro sports and more about refusing to let politics become the only thing I see in another person. Once that happens, nobody gets judged as an individual anymore.
I think we probably agree on more than we disagree, we both seem tired of politics dominating everything🙏🏻

Well, sadly, that’s what it has come to. Of course, you being a NFL guy, nothing has affected you like it has the ordinary working citizen. Just knowing what I know now about the Hollywood and pro sports people makes me wanna hurl.
