Kendrick is a shallow musician, often carried by unnecessary theatrics and voice inflections. If we really strip down his music, you'll see it's more gimmick and vibe than actual substance. Compared to others like Meek or J. Cole, whose approaches feel more grounded, it feels like his facade is simply a cover for a lack of real substance.
