Craig Eskrett tells #BBCBreakfast why more psychological support is needed for people with #MND
Back to reality…. Down to earth after having the most amazing fund raising day for MND which surpassed all our expectations. We are still receiving kind donations on my Just Giving Page which is still boosting the total, so watch this space for the final amount. #feedingtube
It was lovely to see Steve Jobar at @NewburyRacing today.
Steve is trying to raise ÂŁ100,000 for MND after being diagnosed in April 2022.

Thrilled beyond words that we raised over ÂŁ175,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Assn from our lunch and race on Friday. Big thanks to our 450 guests, a record for a race day at Newbury.
Lucky to spend a few hours today in Steve’s company. What an incredibly brave man! Steve communicates by written word now but never stopped smiling. @PowellJfpracing did a fantastic job in putting the day together for @mndassoc 👏

What an extraordinary day yesterday turned out to be. Both positive, generous and fun.
If you could bottle the feelings coming from all in the room I think we would have a cure tomorrow.
I may not be functioning right but it was still one of the best days of my life. Thank you.

Thank you to all the so many people that I knew and the many others attending.
Thank you to Newbury Racecourse for putting on the event, you could not hope for it to go off so perfectly with 450 people to handle. I think everyone’s experience of the day will be remembered fondly.
Off course without my committee it would never have happened what a team they turned out to be. One more meeting to arrive at a final tally and they can relax at bit.
Thrilled to see the bidding on our silent auction reach over £20,000 with two days left. My focus since I was diagnosed with motor neurone disease 2 years ago has been to raise big funds for research into a cure for future generations. stevejobarsupportsmnd.com/li…

Former National Hunt Jockey Steve Jobar, who has #MND, is on a mission to raise funds alongside his wife Dottie.
Together they're organising a race day at Newbury Racecourse and a silent auction full of money can't buy prizes👇
Wonderful to see a cheerful @JobarSteve with his 3 year old great granddaughter as he continues his battle with motor neurone disease. A fortnight today Steve hosts a big fund raising lunch for the @mndassoc at Newbury which sold out months ago. Amazing man.
This unusual unique design has been designed by @OttewillS for the winning owner of The Steve Jobar MND Handicap Hurdle on our Charity Race Day which has been generously sponsored by Dottie’s Son Nicholas Channing Williams. #MND#raceday#charity
Big thanks to Sandy Kilpatrick for his generous donation and kind message on my JustGiving page for the MND Assn. Sandy was so encouraging when I joined his father Alec as a 15 year old apprentice in 1963.

Brilliant to spend time yesterday with a special friend from my riding days. John Francome’s whole hearted support since I was diagnosed with motor neurone disease means the world to me and Dottie.
