Campaign launched by local hospitality businesses and backed by @wonky_table . #NoLabourMPs is the latest step in our #TaxedOut campaign.
Talking has got us nowhere. We have been ignored while costs keep rising. It is time for industrial action.
We cannot afford to close. We cannot afford to strike. We cannot afford to down tools and march on London. So we will do the one thing that gets MPs attention. We stop serving them until they start serving us.
Even on day one the reaction has been fierce. MPs and hospitality businesses are already clashing. Good. They need to feel the pressure.
Maybe now they will finally get the message.

Yeah you can stay open, work your teams to the bone, deal with more intoxicated people, pay more money for unsociable hours and the government say they’re listening and support hospitality. How about fair taxation, recognition of the role hospitality plays in spearheading growth.

I don’t know of a SINGLE hospitality business that would like to stay open beyond the hours they are currently licensed for. This clueless Govt are desperate to throw up these nonsense smokescreens in an attempt to demonstrate they are helping the sector & boosting the economy.
