Today is World Blood Donor Day. Thanks to those who #GiveLife (and yes, I'm one of them). #WorldBloodDonorDay 🩸

Spotted some documentation for CompuServe and LANtastic in a paper recycling bin. I was so tempted to grab it, just for nostalgia's sake.

Any time I hear May 18 I think Mount St. Helens. Where were you on May 18, 1980 when she blew her top?

My electric toothbrush died and it's so weird using a manual one. It feels like a baby toothbrush in my hand. Does that happen to you too?

Twitter is Two Decades Old! Maybe they're rethinking the name change to @X now? Rebranding sure didn't work out well for Facebook when they renamed as @Meta

This "Laundry Chair" is a brilliant solution to the real-life problem of half-dirty clothes. And it's a KickStarter crowdfunding project. Curious? kickstarter.com/projects/sim…

Mission Accomplished: an hour stolen from my morning. All clocks moved an hour forward, automatically or with my assistance. I would prefer that we never #SpringForward or #FallBack again, but now it's done until November. Please Make It Stop

Finally watching Trafficked (the documentary series). I'm stunned by the material, and the incredible courage of @MarianaVZ to put herself at risk, over and over. Maybe more to come from Mariana van Zeller?

Usually I watch the #SuperBowl mainly for the ads, but I'll watch #SuperBowlLX for the @Seahawks AND the ads.

I used to drive by @TMobile's Bellevue HQ in the wee hours of the morning and enjoyed seeing the buildings bathed in blue and green, the @Seahawks colors. They darned well better be doing that now as #SuperBowl Sunday approaches! 🏈

This project from @schmidtsciences was not on my bingo card. Four highly-capable telescope systems, coming sooner rather than later, and all privately funded. Faster/better/cheaper is possible! arstechnica.com/space/2026/0…

Important episode: Against The Rules podcast with Michael Lewis interviewing @michaeljburry Two observations that nobody else seems to understand: $BTC is worse than tulip bulbs, and lowering rates hurts savers. Of course Burry's $NVDA and $PLTR shorts are big too.
On the Against The Rules podcast, Michael Lewis talks with fund manager @michaeljburry about The Big Short: lnk.to/x9vDM9

Delighted to hear how Chet Kittleson and Tin Can are helping kids communicate in a new old way. This "Connection Factory" with a retro tech vibe reminds me of the original #NostalgiaChat episodes, chatting about landlines, floppy disks, and dialup modems.

What happen when @AnthropicAI let @WSJ journalists play red team against an experimental vending machine powered by Claude AI? Not ready for prime time, but certainly fun and educational for all.
Anthropic’s Claude AI ran a vending machine at WSJ headquarters for several weeks. It lost hundreds of dollars, bought some crazy stuff and taught us a lot about the future of AI agents. WSJ’s @JoannaStern tested it all out.
