I’ve so enjoyed the opportunity to follow and experience the spirit and grace that Ander has brought to the canoe slalom over the years. Great athlete… even better human. Emhorabona, @anderelosegi🙏🏼
COMUNICADO OFICIAL | @anderelosegi se retira del Piragüismo profesional a los 35 años de edad. El palista irundarra ha estado presente en cuatro Juegos Olímpicos en la modalidad C1 de Slalom. ¡Gracias por todo! 💙 #SomosPalistas

The ideas that @Alan_Couzens & @feelthebyrn1 share here for endurance training are equally, if not better, for performing at work and in life.
The realization that will make or break your training routine: You can train so much easier than you think & still improve.

A great part of running w/out technology happens when... My neighbors capture the exact the beauty I saw while I was running and where I was running... but without me having to stop running... to mess with technology. A beautiful morning for a run. (moltes gracies, @marcverum)

A great thread from @BStulberg about a different way of looking at how we can improve performance - by raising the floor. My own .02 to add - give a little more attention to not only reducing the depth of your challenges but also their frequency. Great gains over time 1/2
Performance principle—raise the floor: We focus a lot on striving for peak performance but it’s equally (if not more) important to focus on making your bad days a bit better.

2/2 In my own experience, this has not only been a way to increase the chance for better moments and days, it was the defining difference in our athletic success at the Olympic Games. "The Art of Course-Correction" from my book, Slalom, dives into this: amazon.com/Slalom-Classes-Co…

Beyond grateful to be introduced to this fabulous human being and his outlook on sport and life via @richroll and the @RichRollPodcast. To see @feelthebyrn1 reading and sharing Slalom if an amazing gift. (Moltes gracies, Gordo!🙏)
Many of you know @JoeJacobi I just finished his book, Slalom My favorite part is a reminder at the end, show others how individual victories can help in their own lives Offer the reader something they can apply towards their own goals

Enjoy watching the progress of @slalom_burgess - lots to learn from him - and his coach, @MorrisCraig_ - good follows for the year ahead!

I've always struggled on this play on words - easy now/hard later vs hard now/easy later. Why the chase for "easy?" Why not meaning? Or purpose? Or enjoyment?... Then, let the path becomes whatever the work entails.
A tiny thought from our newsletter: "Short-term easy is long-term hard. Short-term hard is long-term easy. – @shaneparrish
Working on my #catala by catching up on some good #Matrix podcasts - one nice conversation about @Viquipedia and this one about women in technology.
Dones i tecnologia go.ivoox.com/rf/97275402

Althought @feelthebyrn1 frames these questions through fitness acceleration, his work transfers so well to a better disposition for improving at just about anything. (Pretty sure I'm going to take the @dickiebush challenge and answer these as well :-) feelthebyrn.blog/2022/11/14/…

Every morning when I run in La Seu, I pass a 90-something yo man on his daily walk. He is Spanish, not Catalan. We always exchange pleasantries. His commitment to getting outside every day is awesome. His agility to speak Catalan for me is beautiful. #analogrunning #Catalunya
