Reform are calling on the govt to halve VAT on fuel for three months in response to the war.

No solid reason why. Reports of several empty seats in the chamber - random.

Hearing this is only temporary, and my colleague @laurenamonaghan is able to watch the meeting from a room nearby, but I also understand there are indeed enough seats in the chamber.
There's a specific bench for the press. It should remain that way.

Nottingham's Labour Group had an informal agreement to allow opposition cllrs to sit on a key committee - but since the defection of several Labour cllrs, it has rescinded it.
@kirstyljones described it as an "attempt to prevent proper scrutiny".

It's understood the decision was made as the number of opposition groups has grown, with leadership believing it is essential that Executive Board doesnāt become unwieldy or duplicate other committees - to focus on its core function.
Opposition can still sit on other committees.
