Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby had his temporary injunction granted by a Lubbock County court. Sorsby is currently eligible to play college football for the 2026 season. He will miss the first two games.

Texas Tech’s appeal to the NCAA to reinstate Brendan Sorsby’s eligibility has been denied, sources tell @TheAthletic. This was expected and is NOT a ruling in Sorsby’s lawsuit vs NCAA in Lubbock County court.
Denial is part of the NCAA’s internal process. Separate from court.

I don’t know how many times this needs to be said but apparently several more.
If a “super league” happens it won’t be a joining of the Big Ten and SEC. It will be the top schools in those leagues leaving and forming their own entity.

On with Finebaum, Greg Sankey says he shared with Ted Cruz yesterday that “we are not having conversations about a merger or super league.”
Sankey mentions by name the PE-backed Smash Capital’s involvement and suggests they approached the SEC and others about a super league.
