The trial date for Brendan Sorsby's temporary injunction has been set for the week of Feb. 8, 2027, in Lubbock County district court.
Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby had his temporary injunction granted by a Lubbock County court. Sorsby is currently eligible to play college football for the 2026 season. He will miss the first two games. The NCAA can appeal the decision. Story coming soon to @TheAthletic.

The NCAA has officially filed a Notice of Appeal in the Brendan Sorsby case. It’s described as an “accelerated appeal” made to the Court of Appeals for the Seventh District of Texas. More detailed briefs are expected to follow.
